If so, what brand can I buy? I use to eat a lot of the Yoplait yogurt before I got diagnosed with diatbetes. Now I'm afraid to even taste them.

I eat plain yogurt with berries (strawberries or blackberries) and add splenda. It is delicious and the carb count is very low.
Smash the berries in a bowl add splenda and then add yogurt and stir. Easy!!!

I eat a store brand called Carb Control, with 4 carbs per carton. There is also a small 3 carb of one of the name brands, but sometimes I cannot find it at my grocery. Both taste pretty good.

Carb control .. or Dannon Light and Fit.. the large cups are 11 and the small ones in the break away packs are 7. Not bad compared to others that come in at 30 plus.

Greek yogurt is very good, but you have to make sure you get the low or nonfat version, because it's really high in fat. It is low carb and high protein, and an acquired taste for some. Eat with walnuts and a sprinkle of honey if you're low, or Splenda if not.
There's also this product that's carried in one specific store...it's from Iceland and it's called Skyyr. It tastes like a yogurt, but it is actually cheese, again low in fat, high in protein and low in carbs. The store that carries it in my area is Whole Foods.

Yogurt that is sweetened with splenda or nutrasweet has nearly NO effect on my blood glucose levels -- so YES, you should be able to eat yogurt :)

I have a couple of choices:
1. Danon light (fat free) 10-12 carbs per serving
2. Danon Carb and sugar control - 3 carbs per serving

Just check the carb content. Most of the yogurts marked "lite", "low fat", "no fat", etc., are sweetened with Splenda or Equal or something similar. There are many good low carb yogurts out there. I'm a vegetarian, and most yogurts have gelatin in them, so I can't eat them- but before I went veg, I used to find that the "Breyer's Light!" were really good and had some great flavors, and low in carbs (around 12, I think).
I now have to use Stoneyfield Farms yogurt. It's good in that it's organic, but it's like 22 grams of carb, morfe expensive, and doesnt taste nearly as good, but I need it to mix with my All Bran Extra (17g fiber per ounce!)

Dannon Light and Fit: Card and Sugar Control. It only comes in peach, strawberry, and vanilla flavors, but pretty darn good.
