How often does everyone do a basal test and a sensitivity test? my sugars range from 50-400 in any given day and lately I cannot get them steady again. I was trying to come up with a plan.

Not good for you, hope you understand what I mean, but once in a while I am relieved to hear someone else say they are having "my" problems. I never could do a good basal test. My sugars bounce around so much, nothing makes sense. I haven't faxed my readings to Dr. Don't want to make a change based on what I have. Have set pump yesterday to +20% teno basal. I was on HMR diet and basals were slowing being changed downward. Went on trip and couldn't follow diet. Dr.'s office said it wouldn't matter--eating regular food shouldn't affect basals, just may have to bolus more. Have been all messed up since.
I am happy everyone has great numbers. but can't figure out how you do it. My lowest A1C ever was 8.2 I think, last one was 10. I have considered getting off the pump for a while. Seems like lots of trouble, and hasn't helped me at all. My numbers don't even make enough sense to send for adjustments.
Very discouraged. I have tried basal testing--didn't work. Seems like the longer and more I try the worse I get.

its funny.. just before i went on the pump i was taking 3 shots a day of humolog and two of NPH. My a1C was 7.5%... i went on the pump and it went back up to 8.5 and I cant keep up with the drastic changes. I too have considered going off the pump.
