For straight exercise I use an Aerodyne. Two ways the lazy one 15 to 30 minutes at a moderate pace, or five minutes at a frantic pace. I like this equipment because it does both the legs and the upper body in tandem or seperately, resting one or the other.

Unfortunalely I don't seem to be very regular on it. Then again some days on the job I may make15 to 20 trips up and down three flights of stairs on the run and other days I maybe doing yard work.

Now it's not the only way I'm managing it, am taking avandia and watching diet.

Aerodyne's are great, I built a few while I was working at a shop over x-mas. Lots of people love them!

Being regular about exercise is a toughie, motivation, time, sleep, blah blah...But even 30 mintues is better than no mintues! So keep at it! That is the key to regular exercise, just keep at it.

Also, it's a good idea to vary methods of exercise..Unless you are highly motivated or specializing in one thing(i.e. swimming competition, bike racing). Try riding two days a week, walking another two, then maybe run(ugh), hike, or if you can, rollerblade. Rest is impotant, take at least one day a week to rest up, and it's not bad to take a week off every few months.

For straight exercise I use an Aerodyne.

I also use a Aerodyne in my exercise plan. Most of the time I train at 70 -75% of my maximum heart rate for 30 mins 6 days a week.

Yep got these flat plates that catch the air so the harder you go the more resistance you get. My old Aerodyne is missing a speedometer cable so I hooked a a little one with a mag detecter so I can keep my speed at a picked rate.

Even if you just walk every day, you are doing good. Walk to work, or if it is too far, park down the street and walk the rest of the way. I was just in San Diego, and they didn't get me a rental car so I had to walk about 12 blocks each way from the hotel to work. It was great excercise, except they put all these restaurants and bars along the way to distract me, so I don't think it did any good.

LOL... What time was it when you were walking by? Beer 30. Same thing when I go get my tea. They have all these big muffins. Boy they are good. I have been good lately too. I haven't had one of those muffins in a long time. Uhhh maybe I should have one today. Originally posted by Jon

How did you know? It was beer 30! I strongly recommend Henneseys in the gas lamp district if you are ever in San Diego. Good drinks, good food, nice Irish pub! Hooters was good too. I wanted to take the trolley to Tijauna, but I ran out of time. Maybe when I go back in May I will get a chance.

Statdeac, you are right. Beer is high in carbs. I prefer Jack Daniels anyway. It makes my tummy all warm inside!:)

Question for all!

Once you get your abs tight, do you have any problems with the muscle and your sites from your pumps?
