I wonder about Dr. Bernstein's suggestions. Actually I knew some about him before (from internet), but I got more from your messages. I live in Turkey. There are several information about his suggestions on internet. However I'd better to get his books, I think. What book(s)do you recommend me to buy? Do you think I have to get all his CDs, videos, etc?. Thanks a lot.:)

I believe that the book "Think Like a Pancreas: A Practical Guide to Managing Diabetes with Insulin" by Gary Scheiner is recommended for Type 1's.

I think if you're interested in the Bernstein method, you should read his book first, the invest in the CD/video after that. The book would give you a good overview of his ideas, and the others would probably expound further on them.

I found that listening to the CDs was a lot easier than reading the book. The CDs are mostly recordings of consultations with patients. So if you get the Type 1 CDs, you will hear just about everythingh you need to know about. The nice thing about the book is that you can refer to specific information quickly and easily. You just look up a topic in the index and got straight to the page containing the info. Both the book and the CDs are very good value. :)
