Meters have a margin of error of 15-20%. 140 times .8 would be 112, so it's entirely possible to take consecutive readings and have them fall into a range from 112-140 and all of them are "right".

Frustrating, isn't it?

The timing is most likely coincidence, unless you're walking 3 flights of stairs to get to the bathroom or something or there was a significant amount of time between the two readings.

I'd pick one ( a time to test in the morning), and just stick with tracking it. Over time - it will come out to an average which should be fairly accurate.

The only thing I could come up with is: Are you washing your hands before your pre-potty test?

(I'm assuming you're washing them after the restroom visit)
