Vitrectomy

I am scheduled for a Vitrectomy in one week to repair a macular hole in my left eye. Any tips on how best to survive the 1-2 weeks face down healing process? I usually sleep on my back so will have to tie myself down or tape golf balls to my shoulder blades. What foods are best eaten face down? Thanks, any tips will be appreciated.

I had to read the Mayo site to find out about the face down thing. I would have to be tied down. Used to sleep on my stomach. After open heart surgery that changed. No matter how I might go to sleep will always wake up on my back. I see it has been a week since you posted Woody so guess you have had it done. Hope all goes well for you. Think I am getting too old to have my head down. Let us know how it went.
