Nightshifts

So, I'm just about to start working on the night shift, thursday through sunday.

I'm wondering if I should change my lantus long acting, so that I give it in the evening on the days that I go to work.. and in the morning on the days I won't be.

How have other people dealt with this?

I always took it at the same time even when I did night shift. I hear your body expects it at the same time so I did not want to mess around with it. It's easier not to get low when you're awake, too.

I do lots of night shifts. I have my lantus as normal, test when i can during the night and have extra humalog when I eat, I ussually wake during the day around 1 to 2 pm and eat at this time also.
I've never had any problems just test often to see what works best for you

Giving it at two different times is impossible. Mainly for the fact that you will either have a huge gap without it or an overlapping dose. Keep in mind it should work for around 24 hours. So if you give it Monday at 10 pm and then Tuesday at 10 am, from 10 am till 10 pm on Tuesday you will have a double dose in you.

It's easiest to just find a time you have available every day and give it during that time.
