I woke up Sunday morning with my foot hurting. It is about in inch down from my small toe. It actually hurts on the inside. It is a little sore it I put pressure on it with my hand.

When I stand after sitting for a while it really hurts, after walk for a few minutes it is not so bad. To move it or stand on my toes it is very sore. It feels like I twisted it, but did nothing that I can remember to hurt my foot. Did take my son trick or treating but not enough walking to make it sore.

My dad told my sores can start on the inside and work themselves out. Once they get to the outside it is harder to treat and usually don't go away. He was an RN. He had a stroke so sometimes his information isn't acurate, but very close.

Has any had anything like this? I am not sure to be alarmed and call the Dr. or wait and see if it will go away. I hate to go the drs if I don't have too, tired of dr visits.

Any help would be wonderful.

Thanks in advance,

Kim

Hi Kim. I get pins and needles sensations on the bottoms of my feet from time to time. Do you look at and touch the bottoms of your feet every day? Assuming you do, and there's nothing to see then I wouldn't consider running to the ER, however I would talk to the doctor about it. If indeed it is related to Diabetes, then the sooner you catch it the sooner you can do something to stop it or delay the progression.

After you've seen the doc, and depending on what he/she says, you may want to consider upgrading your shoes and/or socks and possible experiment w/ some inserts to make the time on your feet more "friendly".

I hope it isn't anything serious,
HeatherP

I have to go get calluses trimmed from my feet every 8-14 weeks.

The calluses grow over the skin in such a way as to squeeze or press the lower levels of skin together so that there is much pain when I try and walk or any pressure is put on those places.

Kim, Do please go see Dr.:)

My foot is actually feeling better. I think my dad just freaked me out, he tends to do that to me on certain issues. It now feels more like a sore muscle or sprained ankle feels. I can move it with less pain. I don't see any sores, open cuts or the like. I am going to watch it for a few more days and see what happens. If it doesn't get better than I will call the dr.

Thanks for your help Heather and Rzr. So far I don't have any complications, so little things tend to bother me and seem bigger than what they may be.

Kim
