Did any ones child present with unusual symptoms

My daughter is very sick and we can't figure out what is wrong with her. I listed her problems down in the type I diabetes forum. Please let me know if you guys had any other complications with your children other then the obvious signs.

Not really, but with my son as with many other kids there was another illness (just a garden variety virus) that 1) seemed to be the "last straw" that triggered full-blown diabetes symptoms and 2) obscured those same symptoms so we didn't think "diabetes" as soon as we maybe should have.

Which is by way of saying it's entirely possible for a child to have diabetes appear hand-in-hand with another illness, which could account for the confusing mix of symptoms you're seeing in your child. Except, if I remember correctly, you aren't really seeing clear-cut diabetes symptoms at this point?
