Seven years ago I was in Seoul and environs on business for two weeks of each month. During these trips I might go ten days without eating any pastries and never missed them. I would enjoy the morning buffet at the hotel - the spread was forty feet long and had lots of fish, meats, eggs, assorted kimchis, and fruits (fresh-squeezed kiwi juice - yum!). Lunch was bulgogis at my favorite bulgogi restaurant. Bulgogis are the perfect diet food, prepared entirely by you... from cooking the extra lean beef or pork on your brazier to wrapping it in a sesame leaf with garlic and black bean paste.

If you have a Korean restaurant near you, I heartily recommend the cuisine.

I LOVE Korean food! It is the bane of my existence. Bibimbob is my all time favorite. I go from between 110-140 to a consistent 170-180 two hours after eating it! I can't help myself. About every other week, I do it anyhow. It's my personal treat. :) I even get just 1/4 cup of rice instead of the whole cup size. Must be sugar in the BBQ sauce also.

There is a Korean BBQ restaurant close to my home and yep, I frequent it often! It really IS the perfect low carber restuarant!

I love Bulgogi, too! I've also tried a couple other BBQ meats, mostly plain with just salt and pepper. I like that the focus is on the meat and veggies, not on rice. At the restuarant I go to if you want rice with your meal, you actually have to ask for it! My daughter asked for it, but I was perfectly happy without it. There was plenty to eat with just the veggies and meat!
