Is there anyone that can respond to this, that took or is taking Nortriptyline.
I was recently put on it, 25mg perday to start. Having a **** of a time with it. Lots of shaking, nervousness, balance dizziness, vision problems etc.
How did you tolerate it. Have been on this now for about 7 days. Had a look at google finds, but wanted to find out from people that are, or was on it.
Going crazy with this stuff...

Looks like you should be calling your doctor;What side effects can this medication cause?
Side effects from nortriptyline are common:
* upset stomach
* drowsiness
* weakness or tiredness
* excitement or anxiety
* insomnia
* nightmares
* dry mouth
* skin more sensitive to sunlight than usual
* changes in appetite or weight
Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
* constipation
* difficulty urinating
* frequent urination
* blurred vision
* changes in sex drive or ability
* excessive sweating
If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:
* jaw, neck, and back muscle spasms
* slow or difficult speech
* shuffling walk
* persistent fine tremor or inability to sit still
* fever
* difficulty breathing or swallowing
* severe skin rash
* yellowing of the skin or eyes
* irregular heartbeat

Harold, thanks for the advice. I was very hessitant to stop, but after I read your post the Diabetes nurse at the hospital just happened to phone me, returning my call from last week and she said the same thing.
