So i just had a follow-up appointment with my primary care doctor for labwork I had done. I have been given a preliminary diagnosis of Tenosynovitis in both wrists so she wanted to check for arthritis or somthing.
Anyway, my Antinuclear Antibodies came back Positive which concerns my Doc becuz it may mean Lupus. So... if having one auto-immune disease isnt bad enough.. i may have more to deal with. Anyone else have anything like this???

Ugh.. and if all my cards arnt stacked against me I dont know what is. I have Psorisis, Diabetes 1, possibly some rheumatoid thing going on, hypothyroidism, a painless gallstone, and my native american blood keeps me at risk for lots of these problems!!! aaaaghhh

I hate to say it, but with one autoimmune "thing" we become more prone to others. I have heard of diabetics with lupus as well (including a friend's mother, but she is type 2).
I have Type 1, psoriasis, hypertension, migraines ... the list goes on and on. (Sucks, doesn't it? Like "just" diabetes isn't enough ... lol)
Talk to your doctors. There may be lots of things you can do for one of your conditions that will help the others and prevent even more.
I was dx'd in 2006 for Lupus anti-coag. (bleeding & clotting messed up) had to delay cleaning out my caroid.
Since then I've broken my left hip, shoulder, perferated ulcer, 2 two toes amputated & to top it off my potassium went out of sight! managed to get the mercer staph & heel ulcers.......so you might get 'other' problems....
I was dx'ed in 1940 as type 1 , am 73 now. What is the old saying "Life Begins At Forty ?? ????
