Many of you find a day when you feel bored, fed up of checking BS and taking your shots, this is natural. Each time you look at your insulin and say hey I am fed up totally and hate you.
Friends Insulin is your best friend. Many times my daughter go wild and cry sometime when I say baby don't eat this and eat this.Sometimes she does not listen to me but I don't blame her.
What I've decided to do is I select her best mood and sit close to her and say my angel today your BS was very good and compliment her,she says thanks papa and start playing with her doll.Remember do not preach your child when he or she is not in mood, this gives adverse effects.
Life goes on,never go off mood friends, when you are not in mood just get up and go in open, look at the sky or trees, see people moving on street/roads,look at the color of nature.God is with you and that is why he has given insulin which makes your life livable, look at those who are suffering from other diseases or go to hospital if you are **** bored.See patients lying in beds and thank to God that you are not of those.
No one like preaching but if one can develop a habit of seeing world with a different view, life becomes easier.
Last but not the least never ignore your parents, when you will grow up and have your kids you will realise how difficult parenthood it.If you have heart your loving mom and papa recently just call them and say I love you,my open challenge is this line of yours will bring tears to their eyes.
Good luck friends and yes never give up,there is a light on the horizon.Be blessed.

I think we all have days we want to give up, but this is great advice and a much appreciated topic considering what I have been struggling with lately. I just get tired of the constant BG checking, but this is a good reminder.

Not she but I feel that I am lucky to have such a wonderful child like her, almost all juveline patients I met are very energetic, smart, bright and with smiling faces most of time, when God takes away something give many things to souls and this is true, faith in God helps in rainy days,I am teaching her one thing and that never complain of what you don't have but Always smiles for what you have, when we go in car I sometimes show some disable animals, people and say sweety look at them and feel yourself lucky coz you have 2 legs,2 hands and 2 eyes in working order and fully functional.
Tx Lorilei.
Small advise to parents:-
*Always sit close to your child when he or she takes shot.
*Close your bedroom door ONLY when your child sleeps,if he is not sleeping and you close your bedroom door this gives wrong feeling in your child that you are not taking inuf care.
*Never treat BS readings like exams results.
Will post some more on time to time or when I remember few of them, try above if your child is not co operating and see the difference.
you are a great dad...she is lucky! thanks for the uplift!

Wow I needed to read this today. I am the worst diabetic and hate having to take insulin and check my blood sugar. In fact today was the first time I actually cared enough to take my insulin after months of being without. Thanks for the encouraging words =)
