Type I Tester

I am still on a sliding scale however I have been monitoring my bg spikes after eating certain foods.
After I eat chinese *of course that is very rarely* I normally spike to about 300 - 350 range
Instead of taking a bg level of normal and injecting according to that level *which in this case would be 7 IU Humalog*
I inject myself with the amount of insulin for the expected spike level.
So I would inject myself with 14 IU of humalog instead of 7 IU.
Doing this instead of using the wait and see game is paying off considering how when I did eat chinese food a couple days ago My Bg didn't go over 130.
This morning I had a bowl of cereal and my bg didn't go over 95...it was peanut butter crunch. *I Know what yall will say...holy **** you are playing russian roulette with your life...or something along those lines* I actually ended up being 65 after a few hours.
So needless to say with the actose and the current way I take my insulin, its all starting to work out and I can't wait to see what my next HbA1C says.
