Just curious - as T1 mommies - if you would mind sharing how quickly you saw a BS spike after conception? As you can guess, this is 1 explanation for my recent spikes...

My sincere appologies if you are not comfortable sharing - I completely understand!!

K: I could not figure out how to message you privately while you were offline. Many congrats on the little man on the way!!

TIA! -Meghann

I'm not sure I can be of any assistance but I never personally experienced much insulin resistance...once of my first signs of pregnancy was low blood sugars....CONSTANT lows. In the first weeks leading up to my positive test, I was always low and it was one of the reasons I wanted to test. I was late one day and almost intuitively knew what the test was going to say just based on the fact that my normally high readings were lower than ever before and it was hard work to keep them up. Even in the later parts of pregnancy, my body apparently really liked being pregnant and I was able to, with minimal aggravation, be on MDI and have great control.

CONGRATULATIONS by the way :D

Nothing is for sure - if I am I would only have had about a 21 day cycle, which has happened before but I dunno...

My spikes were immediate. Seriously, one day I started waking up in the 130s! Normally I wake up in the 70s-80s. It was quite extreme for me.

This time around I haven't had any morning sickness, I did have a couple of nights of after dinner sickness if I stayed up too late.

The cycle I got pregnant on this time was an off-kilter one, I believe I conceived on CD10. Who knows though. :)

If you want to PM me while I'm not online here, you can go to my profile and in there are my instant messaging IDs. I'm usually here, but this afternoon I've been running around my 16 yo getting her state ID card and opening her bank account. She starts her 1st job this weekend.
