New Chat Room

Hi all :)

I'm proud to announce the new Diabetesforums.com Chat Room!

The new chat, aptly named "The Lounge", is bigger and better then ever! It is available only to registered members of the forums - guests will not be allowed to access it. So those of you who haven't yet registered, take this great opportunity to chat live with your peers! It has cool smilies, backgrounds, and many other great options just waiting to be discovered. :thumbsup:
You can find the link to the Chat room on the links bar at the top of every page between "Quick Links" and "Log Out".

The room will open in a separate window so that you can chat and browse the forums at the same time. Macromedia Flash 7 is required to access the chat room; when first entering (if you don't already have Flash installed) you will get an automatic download confirmation. After downloading Flash you will need to restart your computer.
Should you have any problems accessing the chat room, don't hesitate to post something in the Feedback forum, or PM/email the Mod Team or Tony.

The new Chat Room will be Moderated much the same as the Forums, and we ask (as always) that you are kind to your peers while chatting. As before, we encourage you to post an invite in the "Chit-Chat" forum if you are looking to talk to other members.

We are hopeful that this new Chat room will allow everyone to participate, and I'm sure that you'll all enjoy it! Thanks for your patience, and a big thanks to Tony for introducing this new room so quickly to our wonderful community! :D

OK, it looks like Macromedia might not automatically install.

If that's the case, visit the Macromedia Site (http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash) and install Flash.

Keep working on the download, lg, and let me know if you run into more trouble!

We had a fun chat last night, ummmm, I mean this morning. Sorry I missed you Harold, Shy, Dewey and lg were there and the words were flying with them in the room.
The new room is much easier for me to get and stay in. Lotsa smileys too

Always open although finding someone there is a hit or miss affair. You can go in and wait for someone to join if it's empty or post in Chit Chat that your there and waiting.

Probably just bad timing. Evenings or the wee hours, in N.A., are when I see the most activity.

since we are on ;the same time zone...you may want to try around 9-10pm your time..usually there is someone in there or several ppl. :thumbsup:

Wow I jsut went in and it is really cool!!! 1000 times better than the old one! and pretty colors and smilies too! :D
