Just curious how people get their A1C levels checked when it comes time to visit the doctor's. I am still going to the lab for blood draws but I know there are some doctors out there who have a finger prick system in their office. Just wondered which one was more common?

I see the endo at Joslin in Boston every 6 months. They do the A1C in the office and I get the number before I leave.
The other two I have done by a local lab. That takes a couple of days to get results.

Before I started with Joslin last summer it was always the lab.

Lab for me. But, they run a full blood panel every time.
