Good evening, everyone.

I've been doing some reading on the topic of hormonal imbalances (cortisol, adrenaline, etc.) and discovered that it may promote insulin resistence (type II diabetes).

Has anyone come across this?

many thanks,

Sure -- I think someone here has mentioned Cushing's Disease ... a definite precipitator of D.

Every morning. That's what our Dawn Phenomenons are all about. It's mostly a hormone dump, not a sugar one. The main etc = HGH.

Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal imbalance in women that causes fertility problems, ovulation issues, obesity (there are arguments rather obesity came first or the pcos came first-about 60% with PCOs are obese), excess hair, it goes on and on and also leads to heart disease and type 2 insulin resistance. It is also called Stein-Leventhal Syndrome.

I'm there-just no heart dx yet.:(

Linda,

Thanks for your reply. My wife had just a high A1C when she was diagnosed. She's now down to 6.7. So it's possible. Good luck on your numbers. Are you experiencing any neuropathy in your legs and/or feet?
