I was wondering if anyone knows if having sugar/ketones in your urine can cause a negative affect on a pregnancy test?
I have yet to get my period i took a pregnancy test,it came back negative,but then it came to me that my sugars have been pretty out of whack for the past 3 or 4 days and was wondering if that could make a difference?
If anyone can help me or answer this it is much appreciated!!!!

Sugar and ketones in your urine shouldn't affect the HPT. Which one are you using? The best one out there is the one that costs $1 at the Dollar Tree stores... if you don't have that one, get the one at Target, Target brand, with the pink dye. The blue dye tends to give false negatives.

Also, use first morning urine to test. That's when the hormone concentration is the best. :)

Thanks for the info.I was using a generic brand from zellers (canadian) and as for the dye your reffering too i think this one was blue..so maybe ill give a pink one a try in the next couple days if I dont get my period.Thanks so much!
