Cracker Barrel - I may have a new favorite restaurant

I’ve always liked Cracker Barrel but I consider them over-priced for home-style cooking. But today I met some friends there for lunch and I was impressed with their large menu section dedicated to low-carb meals.

I enjoyed the ½ pound hamburger steak with garden salad and a double helping of turnip greens. I loves me some turnip greens when they are done right!

Good southern eating, huh Ed? We like them greens over here in Ole Miss too.

I LOVE Cracker Barrel. My fave is Chicken and Dumplings. I ordered off the low carb menu, but couldn't resist a side of dumplings. Needless to say, my blood sugar did not like them. Alas, I think I am just going to have to stay out of the restaurant. Darn!!

Their naked chicken tenders are great too. Really low carbs and tasty.
