Headaches...

So I have realized that lately when I eat dinner, lunch, whatever. I immediately start getting a headache that last sometimes for hours and it seems like my vision is like glossed over or something!

This happen to anybody else?

How is your blood sugar at the time of the headaches? I find I get headaches if i'm higher than usual. Blurry vision (like looking through plastic) can also also be a sign of high blood sugars.

Also, if you're eating out a lot, you may be having foods that have MSG in them...which can trigger headaches in some people.

It was only 120... it was school cafeteria food, which is what I eat everyday.

Annoying.... these headaches cause me to test more! Curently only get 200 strips every 3 months. I am sure I could get more if need be but I just wish they would just go away.

If this is any consolation, I find that I get headaches when my levels go above 105. Whenever I am able to keep them below 100, I am nearly always headache free.

Getting the headaches has only one advantage though. I know that I probably have over reached the above limits so if I haven't pigged out on a previous meal, or eaten a different food, I usually don't test anymore, saving myself the cost of one strip.

For me headache = time to go for 1/2 walk.

This darn Diabetes has its own unique way to ensure we never forget about it and really have no alternative but to look after ourselves.
