aren't bananas high in carbs
i am having a hypo moment, tested myself was 65, was like hmmm maybe i needed something more than nuts and carrots, so i ate a banana and 15 mins later only went up 6, at 71
I am trying not to overeat, and sooooooooo trying to avoid eating the girl scout cookies i have in the drawer

Bananas have many varieties and ripeness as well as size. I don't think they raise BG for everybody.

woohoo before eating lunch (1 hr after eating banana) I was 117, 2 hrs after eating lunch, 2 slices of pizza and the cheese and pepperoni off the other 2 slices (pizza was a 9in personal pizza) my reading was 108, I was shocked, checked again on the other hand and it was 106. YAY!!!!

Bannanas, esp greener ones have a lot of resistant starch which enters blood stream slowly. If you want to raise bg quickly, something like crackers, bread or juice work better.
