I was wondering anyone knows if any of the Mody's do not respond to Sulf medications. Today I had an appointment with a new endo. My endo was wondering if I had Mody because my insulin is so low, I have 2 direct relatives with Mody and my dad who got diabetes when he was 20 has good health now at 70 and I don't have antibodies.
I told the endo that I didn't respond to sulfs. I was given Sulphs to try for the 2 days I started being treated for diabetes and they actually sent my blood sugar levels up. I had to take 50% more Levemir on Sulfs.
Can't afford the $4000 genetic test for the 5 or so Modys unfortunately (so expensive.)
