Im not sure whats going on with my ratios at the moment. They are crazy!

Breakfast 1:6 (sometimes 1:7)
Lunch: 1:18
Dinner: 1:16

Im on a pump (Been type 1 for 2 years) and have tested my basal rate throuhout the day. I cant account for this massive 11-12 point change from breakfast to lunch. Im not sick and I have a stable diet. Its been like this for almost a month although I have checked it within that time. Im just not sure about whats going on.
ill do one breakfast basal test tomorrow, and if its wrong ill edit it and see if anything changes within 2-3 days.

Look into the concept of Dawn Phenomenon. It's a natural occurance of a release of hormones and adrenaline, that can spike and/or cause resistance as some stage in the morning. It appears to occur for some people and not others, and appears to be able to come and go, but usually in a medium-long term trend ie, over months or years, not so much come and go from one day to the next.

Most pumpers I know have a smaller ratio in the morning to compensate for DP, like Subby said. That is perfectly normal.

Lately, I've been using a 1:10 at breakfast and a 1:25 at lunch. Pretty typical for me. Sometimes I'm a little more sensitive, and I'll use a 1:12at b-fast and a 1:30 at lunch. I've had type one for 16 years. I think what you are experiencing is pretty typical. No worries.:D
