So I use Levimer Flex Pen Insulin..
Seems like I been having to INCREASE the Unit dosage More & More lately...
I use to be able to get by with 17 units...When below 130 glucose level before going to bed.
Now I am around 25 units now...sometimes NOT enough...when I wake up I am Over 130 glucose mark.
WTF!.......is this odd????

Sometimes our insulin needs change, there are a number of things that can set that off, from pernament reasons to seasonal changes. Have a think about if things have changed for you since needing to put your dose up. Weather different? Put on weight? Different lifestyle changes? etc
The other issue that can occur high morning numbers is when we go low during the night, our liver releases glucogen (sugar) to counteract the low, and we end up higher in the morning.
That's one situation where MORE insulin can cause higher numbers. It can work this way: the more insulin causing a bigger low, a bigger liver response, and a higher number afterward.
How to check if this is the cause for your morning numbers? Set an alarm, test your BG a few stages through the night, say 2am, 4am, 6am, a few nights in a row to see if you are trending low.

Stress can be an important factor as well that will make ur BG go all over the place or make it start acting weird, Subby already said the rest tho

Has your fast acting or basal insulin gone bad? How long have you been diagnosed? If its within 1 or 2 years then it could be the end of the honeymoon period. Insulin requirements could be the other culprit but such a big jump seems unlikely but not impossible. Stress? Exercising more/less than usually? Eating more/less? Moon out of alignment with mars again (common occurrence :D)? Only real answer is to test for liver dumps and your doses to make sure all is correct. Waking up at 2am will give tell you the overnight bg. You should do a morning basal test by skipping breakfast and testing bg every hour or so to see if your bg holds. Increase or lower doses accordingly. Wish there was a one size fits all answer.
