Argh. So for the past few days, my normal breakfast (1 cup Greek yogurt, 3/4 cup Kashi GoLean, 2 ounces berries, TBS all-natural peanut butter--about 40 carbs altogether, most of which is fiber, though I bolus for the fiber too) has been spiking me whereas before it never did. I wake up pretty low no matter what (usually in the mid-eighties, sometimes 60--but if I lower my basal at that time is goes too high). An hour after eating I test and am 125 about, which is okay with me. At the two-hour mark, though, I hit 180. Should I up my already very high basal at that time of day--it's different from the one I wake up with, and I seem to have the most insulin resistance at that time--or is the high just an effect of waking up low and my body pouring glycogen into my system? I'm just confused because this hasn't happened ever before...like today I upped the basal a bit, bolused more for the same amount of carbs, and yet ended up the exact same number as when I was taking much less.
I'm bummed because it's the perfect easy breakfast for me, keeps my hunger tied over, and used to not spike me at all. I hope it's not that I can't eat this anymore. :( What should I do? It's alarming that I wind up the same number as yesterday after adding so much more insulin.
