hi for the past 2 mornings my bs has been 103 upon waking up just wanting to know if thats bad mine used to be in the 80s so thats a big change i am also hypolycemic so seeing that number when i woke up after sleeping for 11 hours was diffrent,i was okay with it :) i have heard that hypo could turn into diabetes so does the number mean anything? i didnt have any sugar before bed i have really cut out most sugar because of my hypo, any ideas?

With the meter variances being what they are, I wouldn't worry too much about the 103. If you're worried about developing diabetes, i'd keep an eye on the 2 hr post-meal #s as they are generally the first to show changes and have an annual hgb A1C.

As a T2 diabetic, I was told to keep my levels at 140 or less at the 2 hr mark...so your post meal #s look quite normal.

diabetes is complicated. so I would say yuor post meal reading
being okay depends on what you ate.
and your fasting number should be under 100, but as linda said meters are not perfectly accurate at all.
the only way for you to know is to ask your doctor. if you have numbers that conern you asking is the only way.
I am not a doctor, but the numbers you have mentioned so far do not really worry me. but I am not there. so I would ask.
