I just started doing this the other day, even though I've had diabetes for 40 years. I'm always trying to find new ways of injecting ,especially in my upper arms. My arms are thin,so I need to get some fat pinched where I inject. I took a big,fat roll of toilet tissue and tucked it under my arm and it helps to smoosh the fatty part forward where you can inject comfortably.and it also raises your arm up,where you can see it better. I guess you could use a big roll of paper towels too. It really works good! anyone got any other tips for injecting so that its more comfortable?

I no longer inject but there's a similar technique to yours for inserting pump infusion sets in your arms. You lean against a door jamb to push your skin up so you have something to insert the set into. Kind of lean into it and then turn your arm a bit, if that makes sense. I'll have to remember your trick for using my arms for an infusion set or sensor next time.

I stand next to a corner on a wall.. put my arm hard against the edge.. and voila.. enough fat! Or.. sit on the bed.. put one foot up.. press my arm against my knee.. works the same :)
