Metformin: doubling it

I was just told to double my metformin amount, do you think it will take a month to really see a difference like when I first started taking metformin?

Also, have any other people noticed higher BG levels when they increased metformin intake? Any other side effects?

I take metformin 2x500mg twice a day now, for a total of 2000mg per day. (this is the doubled amount)

I went from 1,000 to 2,000 back down to 1,500 switched to ER version, and now I'm back to 2,000 ER a day.

It can take a couple weeks for a change to be noticed (either way). For me, more metformin always means lower BS. Changing up the timing changes how badly the side effects hit me.
