Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this forum and wanted to say hello. I am T1X10years and have been pumping for about 6 weeks. It's been a roller coaster ride with wide swings in my CBG. I just couldn't seem to have a good day so I could test my basals so finally I decided to just continue the test even though I had to treat a low alhtough I new the results would be scewed as I was consuming carbs to bring me back to target. I then took those numbers and entered them and my basal rates into the basal rate estimator along with my proposed changes to my basal rate. The graph the came up was very interesting. It showed a big dive around MN to 2 am with continued lows throughout the night. My proposed changes showed an almost flat line around 4-5 mmol. I changed my basal rated to the ones I proposed and guess what I've been in range for all but one test and that was a bit high after a meal. Got rid of those nasty lows, thank goodness! I see my DE next week so it will be interesting to see what she has to say.................my new setting are almost the complete oposite of what she had me setting my pump at.
Also in response to Ray4Rick, I too have celiac disease so the diet is fun!
