Remember me!!!! I was worried about getting my breast implants because I thought I might get pregnant straight away!! Well, its been 9 months since and 9 months of trying to get pregnant but NOTHING! HMMMMMM, a little strange. I was pregnant at 18 but had a misscarriage! I have no cervical mucous around ovulation time, that is the only strange thing I have noticed in the last 2 years, I hv been off the pill for almost 2 years afte being on it for 12 years or so! I am sad, thought it would happen with no dramas! Now I am wondering what is possibly wrong!!!! I am only 31 years old, husband already has a child! So, it is my body not his that is playing up! xx I do ovulate every month as I had this test done! My period has been over a week late in the last year!! WHY??? Oh WHY?? It is a week late today but I did a pregnancy test and it was negative........I am sad and confused about all this.....

It must be very hard for you but you have to try and relax and not get too stressed about it.

Have you been to see your dr? They will be able to refer you to a consultant who will help you understand why your not getting pregnant. The fact that you are ovulating is a good start and is very positive.

Speak to you drs, some people take longer than others to get pregnant.

Take care and good luck

I'm sorry. My sister has been dealing with unexplained infertility for the last 3 yrs. I know she is having a hard time dealing with the emotions of it all. I'd definately make a doctor appt and talk with him/her.

I am sorry -- that is so frustrating!

In fact it was so frustrating to me, that after about six months and 2 miscarriages, I opted to adopt instead. Good thing too, since I never used contraception again, and never got pregnant.

BUT, there are interventional options like Clomid. Go to your MD!

Men have problems with fertility as well. One of the cheapest tests is for him to donate a sample and have it checked for quality and motility. Many things can affect a mans fertility: choice of whity~tighties, riding bicycle, weight, diet, caffine, meds, proper rest, age, the list goes on. Don't just assume it's you, start with the cheap tests and work your way up. It's embarassing as h'ell when they hand you the cup and point to "the room". Even more embarassing when you bring back "the sample" but it will, if nothing else, eliminate one item on the check list.

Just my suggestion.

Oh yeah, I have a story from DH about his sacrifice on that one. The "cup-hander-over" was a coworker's WIFE!

Thanks everyone!! Yeah, I dont so much care if I have a child or not....I just want to know what is the reason I am not getting pregnant so that I can continue in my life knowing whether or not I will have a child in it or not. If I can have a child and nothing is wrong with me then I will keep on trying and not be so concerned but if the docs say I am infertile I will think phew...now I know and I wont have a false hope of wondering if I could be a mum one day. I can then go and enrol in nursing knowing that I wont have to drop out to have a baby....things like that....I have to wait the full 12 months before I can have the tests done...its standard...all my docs know that I am trying...they just tell me to wait until 12 months.......the other hard thing is...I never thought this would happen to me..always thought Id get pregnant with no dramas...anyway. xx
