I have found that my insulin needs apparently change with the weather. Like right now when it is very hot and humid, I evidently need much less insulin and find myself having problems with low BGs more often. The opposite happens when it is cold when I find myself needing more insulin. I have to increase my insulin levels per carb ingested then. Has anyone else had this happen to you? I'd be interested to learn if this is common or not?

Yes, although it is opposite for me. I need more basal insulin during hot weather, for a hot summers day approx. 25% extra is what I was finding last summer. I don't need to adjust my I:C ratio though.
There have been a few threads on this, you can access that info too if you use the search feature, maybe for "weather" and "insulin" (or something like that).

Interesting point...I wonder if it is due to changes in capillary bed w/ differences in weather (cold = less peripheral blood flow; hot = more peripheral blood flow and dilation). In hot weather some folks dilate more (see this w/ some of the dilating BP meds) and others third space fluids (swell up) which makes getting insulin to tissues harder. I have a swelling problem w/ my BP meds and when I do...need more insulin.
