I've been on 500mg 2x Metformin for months now. But I hadn't been testing when I first went on it, so I had no hard data on what it was doing for my blood sugar.
Until now. I went off for a few days in case the opthamologist wanted to do a test involving injected dye.
Lunch today: 134 before, 153 after
Lunch yesterday: 126 before, 142 after
Lunch Friday: 104 before, 120 after
Lunch Thursday: 113 before, 122 after
I picked my lunch results because I eat the SAME thing for lunch every day (Smart Ones Turkey or Roast Beef, 1 apple, a few Goldfish crackers). Nothing has changed except I stopped taking Metformin on Saturday.
I will be interested to see how fast my readings go back to the lower numbers now that I am taking Metformin again.
And now I'm wondering if maybe a slightly higher dose would bring my numbers down a little more.
