12 hour fast, had Dextrose tabs at 10PM

Hi All....I'm trying to get an accurate reading on my lipid panel, and I'm supposed to get a blood test at 8AM. I ate dinner at 6PM, however, at 10PM last night, I had to take a 12 grams of carbs from dextrotabs. Will a 10 hour fast be adequate?

Were you *told* to fast 12 hours? If so, then no, 10 hrs won't be accurate. If you were just told to fast, usually I've been told that means after midnight.
