I'm going next week for training (never got it when I received the CGMS over a year ago).
My meter and my pump are off over 100pts. Is there a way to get them closer together?

If I'm off by say 30 points or so I'll just make sure my bg is stable and do a sensor update. Then maybe wait 15 minutes and do another one.
However, with that much of a discrepancy, I would select the start a new sensor feature so it basically wipes out the incorrect data. You do that without actually putting a new sensor in though so you can try to save the sensor. Make sure you're at a stable BG level and then when the cgms is ready you input your new BG level. This might get you on track because perhaps when the sensor was initially setup your BG wasn't as stable as possible and there was a big discrepancy with between bg level and interstitial fluid glucose.
Of course sometimes you just have an uncooperative sensor. I just had one that kept being off by 50 points and I would recalibrate it and it actually corrected to the calibration, but then would plummet again even though my blood sugar wasn't moving. The sensor was only a day old, but I just had to toss it and go cgms free for the day. Good luck.

Uploading to the Carelink program at Minimed will allow you to view reports and trends to compare. That is unless you have a computer that uses a 64 bit processor, i.e. a Windows Vista machine. Carelink cannot work with computers made in the last 18 months. Smart, huh? One of the main sales pitches for me was the reporting that Carelink provides. Nowhere on the website does it say that modern computers cannot work with Carelink. This is the same group who screwed up all of those infusion sets. The gang that cannot shoot straight.

Very interesting what you said about care link not working with new computers with Windows Vista. I got a Minimed 522 in the spring and at that time Medtronic had a special offer that provided a CGMS and a Toshiba Satellite computer with Window Vista and a care link system. I've used the care link but always with my old computer that has windows XP. I have not tried it with this computer with the Vista but I will just to see what happens. You'd think if Medtronic gave such an offer that the computer would work with the care link. If it doesn't then Medtronic sure messed up but at least I got a good deal on a computer and CGMS.
