hello i am new to this board just thought i would introduce myself been diabetic for 23 years type 1 just started on yhe pump dec 04 my a1c went from 11.5 to 8.3 in just 30 days this thing is the greatest device for us out there my numbers have never been greater also i am the first person ever to get one though my insurance co. hopfully they will start aproveing them for all who need one or want one

I just started pumping as well.. just before my pump, my a1c went from 10 to 8.4 in the same time frame...

I'm T1 currently on MDI using insuflons, but hoping to get a pump... sooner rather than later, glad to hear that things are working with yours!

I am a type 1 as well, dx'ed in 2002 at age 24. I was on MDI for about a year before moving to the pump and, honestly, I must admit I've had my ups and downs with it. Right now, things are going pretty well so I LOVE IT. :p

Wow, I'm sure you've had some interesting experiences with diabetes in the past 23 years. I'm sure you could share some stories ;) . I think it's great that you are doing so well with the pump and that your A1c improved so much! :thumbsup: . That's an awesome accomplishemnt. I'm sure if you keep working at it, your next one will be even better.
