I have a recumbent exercise cycle. I had been going great guns doiing intervals, till my knee began hurting. I adjusted it several times, so the distance to the pedals was a bit shorter, but it didn't help. So I kinda have slacked for the past month, putting off or skipping workouts and feeling bad about it.

What with getting the LADA dx, well, I felt like maybe IR was not such a big factor in my case, and after all, my BGs were good and my weight was coming down. So I had all the reasons ... then I read several articles that state insulin resistance is almost always a part of LADA (of course, this is theory not IRL -- I know many here who have NO IR and LADA).

I got on the bike last night and lengthened the distance from seat pedals about an inch, and VIOLA! No knee pain! And had a great session. So now I am thinking all the ascribed psychological motives to not working out were BS. I am actually looking forward to exercising again.

So much for sports psychology -- I was overthinking, totally!

Yeah you! Isn't it funny how we get in our own way sometimes?

Really! I hope it helps someone who is putting off exercising for vague reasons ...

Ya don't think your knees just needed a rest, eh? :D :D :D (j/k)

This is great . . . now I just need to light a fire under my lazy butt . . .

No -- see, it is a quick-adjust, and I actually changed the position while cycle -- and my knee pain VANISHED! What a waste of time!

Yes, you need to light that fire! Now, iffn I could FARM while cycling ... :D
