I had a doctor's appt with a new optometrist today and she gave me the news that I had a hemorage in both eyes. Yikes! I don't know whether to feel relieved or more concerned being that at my last appt with my endocrinologist she said she "thinks" she see's a cateract....and it was confirmed today-no cateract. Is this typical for diabetics? Will it go away if my sugars are more tightly controlled?

I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like she's talking about diabetic retinopathy. It *may* get better for a while, but she should have referred you to an opthamologist (or even a retinal specialist) to have it checked out more thoroughly, because it is a serious issue & may need treatment, either now or in the future. If she didn't refer you to someone, I'd call and ask her for a referral.

Yes, and the quicker the better! Don't play games with your eyesight.

These are complex conditions. They won't get better if your sugars don't.
Hemms come in different flavors. I hope you are seeing an opthamologist ASAP!
