YIKES! :eek: Apple pie w/42g of carbs per serving? Apple dumpling with 2 bread & 1 fruit exhange (doesn't that also equal about 45g of carbs?) Baklava w/9g of carbs per serving for a serving (about 2-3 bites.)

Sorry, but that's not *low-carb* - slightly-lower maybe (because she substitutes splenda in *some* of the recipes - and not even for all of them!) but not *low* carb at all!

I think my blood sugar just rose from reading the recipes!

i don't think splenda is low carb is it? not the splenda that is sold that looks like sugar anyway.

if you look here Nutrition Facts and Analysis for Sweeteners, tabletop, sucralose, SPLENDA packets (http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/sweets/9252/2) you will see that a 1g serving of splenda has 1g of carbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that translates to 100% carbs - not low carb. what are they thinking???

Powdered Splenda is laced with maltodextrine to make it measure like sugar. It's a real no-no at this household.

"Guiltfree" Brownies with 3/4 cup of flour and 3/4 cup of sugar?! Ooops!
