Constipation ?

Okay guys, pre-diabetic here. Last few weeks I have been constipated. I am only taking singular for asthma and zocor for cholesterol, none claim to case constipation. I take psyllium husk and drink tons of fluid. What gives? Any suggestions.

I use docusate (a stool softener) myself, every once in a great while. I buy the cheapest brand in the pharmacy.

The few times I have this problem, eating one of the yogurts everyday has helped. It doesn't have to be the expensive ones advertised, any of them seem to get me back on track. Usually start working after the second day, but I eat it for at least a week. :)
