Went there for dinner tonight. They made life so much easier! You can go to their website ahead of time and look at nutrition info, complete with suggestions for how to ask the cooks to modify certain dishes to make them friendlier for any given type of food goals. I was able to get an order of wings (nonbreaded, which I would not have known to ask for without the info on their site), a caesar salad without croutons, and some of my dh's veggies that came with his chicken. They'll even change how they cook dishes (without butter, no glaze, etc) if you ask themt to!

Man, I've been spoiled in the food department today. :)

I ADORE Outback! And for those reasons, too -- they'll adjust aboslutely anything for you, and cheerfully!

Thanks for sharing the info! It's wonderful when a restaurant can be so obliging. And they do have some good veggies on the menu. They also do take out with online ordering with areas for special requests. I find their online ordering super, painfully slow, though.

Outback has the world's best carrot cake with the best vanilla frosting; it's fall on the floor good.
i guess i'll never have again. :(

Outback it one of my favorite places to dine out since dealing with Type II. The petite filet with lobster mushroom sauce is to die for and my numbers stay low at bedtime. They are always very accomidating there.

Sure you will. Just not until the numbers are under enough control that you can afford a minor indulgence. See if you can split the cake with someone also. Cravings are almost always satisfied in less than 5 bites anyway :)

Also I noticed on their menu that they will even let you order a sampler size (1/2 the regular) of some of their deserts. Maybe that is one of them?
