:) Hi, I am new here and seek your advice for my exercise. Would you please help me?

Describe myself, number-wise, I am not overweight but no muscle or strength. I can’t sit-up or push-up, not even once. Diagnosed as a pre-diabetic 2 months ago, I started to go to gym.

At first, I was working with elliptical for 40 minutes every afternoon. At the end of Elli, my thighs are so painful that I had to sooth them in the spa for 10~20 min. And cool down by swimming for another 10 min. After these, I am dead tired and sleepy. Too sleepy to feel any hunger like others. Once back to my home, I just hit the bed and good sleep till morning.

Now, I feel much better than before. I am not that tired as before and feel it’s time for me to step up. To build muscle is my next goal. I’ve read some tips for this; it says that to take carbohydrate before exercise and eat again some more carbo with protein after exercise. They said that these are building materials for muscle; if the nutrition is not enough, my exercise will dismantle my new born muscle.:( Is that applying for diabetics too? I am on low-carb diet now and I usually ate before going to gym not after. I am afraid carbohydrate intake at night will keep my BG high all night long.

Some more, what would be the best way to build muscles for diabetics like me? Should I do exercise for only one part (upper or lower) of the body per day as they said? Shall I work every other day rather than everyday as the usual athletics while I am far from athletics’ strong body? Should I continue to work on ellip before press? Could I use spa after anaerobic exercise? I mean, the spa massage might kill my hard working muscle? How many hours shall I work on per day?

Any of your thought would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading my poor English.:T
