I've been trying to stick with a relatively low carb diet -- my lunches are usually my "highest" carb meals at around 30g or so. I'm also trying to keep an eye on fat, calories, and cholesterol since I'm pretty new to this, and also trying to lose a few (dozen) pounds.

I had a couple of fried chicken thighs today for lunch (with some grean beans on the side). I'm trying to find some nutrition information them. I got lunch from Ukrop's (local grocery store), and they don't seem to have nutrition info anywhere for the fried chicken.

I found KFC's nutritional info and it doesn't seem awful (250 calories, 19gms fat and 6g carbs per thigh). Do you guys work Fried Chicken into your diets at all? I'm not talking every night, but occassionally.

About once every couple of weeks, couldn't live without it! :D
(A small portion though and no other carbs)

A big mistake new low carb dieters make is trying to cut out fat when on a low carb diet. The fat is actually what makes you full and that is where the real flavor is. I don't eat breaded fried chicken. I just fry it with any breading, but definitely with the skin on.

Fair enough.

Along the same line, how about something like Hooters or Buffalo Wild Wings or somewhere like that with awesome chicken wings! I'm a big fan. I guess they're safe too so long as you get a sauce without much sugar? I know you can get the wings without breading also (and I actually prefer them that way).

One of my favorites is a restu. called Icafonos, they have giant wings in a barbie sauce with a greek salad. Never nudged my BG

I LOVE wings! It doesn't matter from what restaurant either. Wing Stop, Wing Basket, Buffalo Wild Wings...just make 'em hot! Buffalo Wild Wings are 70 cal. per wing (not sure if that's with or without the sauce).

Try pounding up some spicey pork skins into a powder, dredge the chicken in them after an egg bath and fry. Pretty god indeed

This is good "breading" for chicken, pork, beef . . . whatever you like breaded. But get the hot/spicy pork rinds . . . the spiciness is barely noticable when it's used as breading.
