I want to inform this forum about my experience regarding food combination. In order to find food combination that yields good BG I tried to combine several stuffs.

This is results:

1. Vegetables (carrot, lettuce, etc)
Size 2 cups
Combine: eggs (2)
Drinking XXX formula milk (3 tbs in one glass of water)
Before meal: 97, 1hr pp 170(!!!), 2hr pp not measured (cause of scared)
Comment: Very bad

2. Potato mashed with full cream milk
Size 1 cup (250cc)
Combine: vegs
Before: 93, 1hr PP: 99
Comment: very good :D

3. Rice with 1 glass full-cream milk (at intervals, instead of water)
Size 100gr (as dusk meal for Ramadan)
Combine: egg, vegs, fish
Before: 101, 1hr pp: 113, 2hr pp: 97
Comment: very good :D

XXX is a formula food for body builders. Said sugar free, but contains aspartame. It also contains L-arginine  (4 gr/100gr formula).
I do not know which chemical that cause the spike. May be L-arginine may be aspartame. I read somewhere in this forum, there is conflicting information about L-arginine.
I realize this is probably very individual result, but one who is basically has rice as staple food may want to try it.

Does XXX milk have lactose (sugars)? How many carbs?

Sugar-free doesn't necessarily mean carb-free. Did you check total carbs?

Well, yes it contains 17 gr carbohydrate, as lactose of 16gr per 1 serving (36gr). Does it matter? How?

Because that carb count is probably what gave you the rise in your blood sugar. Lactose is a milk sugar that affects many diabetics in the same way that "sugar" sugar does.

The L-Arginine gave me a bumb in my BG, I take 3000mg a day. I only noticed this at first, my body seemingly has adjusted to the L-Arginine now and has little effect on my BG.
