breakfast everyday for me is one of these green smoothies.
they are so full of goodness and actually quite satisfying, my version is so low carb too as i dont use fruit in them at all.

Big Breakfast Green Smoothie

third cucumber
1 avocado
juice of one lemon
250 ml soya milk or fresh almond milk (you could use filtered water here instead)
handful raw spinach (washed)
handful of kale
sea salt to taste
quarter cup oil (olive/flax/coconut/other healthy oil)

place all ingredients in a blender except the avocado. blend on high speed until smooth then add avocado and blend until its mixed in properly.

i like to eat mine form a bowl as its quite thick and will sprinkle flaxseeds or sunflower seeds on top for added crunch.

this amount usually fills me up at breakfast, then the remainder will be eaten for lunch with some crunchy chopped veggies for dipping in.

Oh that sounds YUMMY!

A little too many ingredients for me to deal with in the morning ... but I could have it in the evening! :)

the beauty of the smoothies is that you can chop and change the ingredients to suit you.

the original recipe had tomatoe in it too, but i dont like it for breakfast, as it just doesnt suit my palate at that time of the morning. ;)

the kale and spinach really works ;)
