Okay I have a question. What is urinating alot, I go between 8-10 times a day. But I feel like I have to go all the time. I just wait because I don't want to be in there all day. I am a 29 year old male. I also drink alot throughout the day and am very thirsty at night.

Your urinary output should correlate to your fluid intake, the more you drink, the more you'll go. How are your blood sugars?

"Urgency," the feeling you have to go all the time, can be a sign of an urinary tract infection, high blood sugar, prostatitis, or fluid overload.

If you're getting up a lot at night, limit fluids after 6 pm.

My sugar that I have tested has never gone of 160 post meal 2 hours. I have had this problem for a while, no UTI or prostate issues I don't think. I have a pretty strong stream so they say.

Your body thinks your sugar is too high. Your kidneys are working overtime trying to rinse the sugar out of your system. That's the easy explanation. You may be moving past pre-diabetic and need to talk to your doc.

I'll bet you are mega-thirsty at times too.

This also happens to full-fledged diabetics who are running too high blood sugars.

Have you discussed this with your doctor? If you're drinking a lot of water you're going to need to go a lot more. Many times diabetes is blamed for everything and it could have nothing to do with diabetes at all. I do recall on one of these forums a while back someone having diabetes insipidus (sp) that caused extreme thirst, especially ice water and of course frequent urination. The output was much greater than it should have been based on the input. Of course it could be diabetes getting worse, but don't just assume it because it's a symptom.
