Wish I could remember who posted this awhile back . . . we just got the stuff together to make one today, and holy pepperoni! We've died & gone to heaven! :D :D :D
Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes (http://genaw.com/lowcarb/deep_dish_pizza.html)
We made the crust exactly as directed.
Used a very thin smear of plain tomato sauce.
The rest of our toppings were pepperoni, black olives, fresh sliced mushrooms, fresh diced red bell pepper and diced jarred jalapeņos.

Oh yum!!! Thanks so much! :) I'll have to try it this weekend.
It was meeeeeee.
I used 1/4 cup of Muir Glen pizza sauce and was very skeptical that such a tiny amount would produce good results, but it was awesome. I also taste-tested it on a bunch of personal chefs who were generally blown away and are planning to add it to their menus for low carb clients. I'm getting ready to make it again soon myself.

That does it. I will be going by the store after dinner tonight to pick up the ingredients to make the crust so I can cook it with toppings tomorrow lol. I meant to do it this weekend, but didn't get around to it.

Well I'm forever indebted to you, my dear! This is wonderful! I'm not even sure I used 1/4 cup of tomato sauce . . . I just dribbled a little from the can & wiped it evenly over the crust - prob'ly was more like 2-3 oz. We already know we like our pizza with scant sauce.
And I agree with Annabell . . . taking that crust outta the oven I thought the very same thing: This would be fine all by itself!

Do you think I could chill the baked crust overnight? Or would I need to bake it with toppings quicker than that for some reason? That may be a stupid question... I am so drained right now lol

Leave it overnight. I think that may even be a hint to having a crisper crust. Leave it uncovered in the fridge for several hours, allowing it to dry out more.

Baking crust now :) I must say I'm a little nervous b/c I usually don't eat cream cheese... too rich for me. But it does smell good. ;)

Well, the crust is baked and smells great. I am about to put it in the fridge to chill until tomorrow night, when I will top it and bake for dinner. I'll be sure to post results afterwards. :)

Oops... forgot. Sorry.
The crust was ok... tasted fine. I think I may not have cooked it long enough, or something, b/c it wasn't as thick as I thought it should be. But it may have been my expectations being a bit off too...
My husband liked it though. In fact, we will be having it again soon :)
