Anyone eat walnuts as a dietary supplement?

It's my understanding that eating a handful a day keeps the blood pressure down.

And I was just reading that 1/4cup of them has 94.5% of your daily recommended (recommended) dose of omega 3's.

That's a pretty delicious way to get cardiovascular health.

I went out and got a gigantor bag this morning. A handful with breakfast over coffee, or mixed in with some fruits or flax cereal. I'm even tempted to go get some Parmesan cheese and make a walnut pesto.

Anyone heard of the benefits of walnuts before?

I eat both raw walnuts and raw almonds regularly.

I'm not a big fan of walnuts, but that sure does sound good. I also need to expand my taste in the nut variety. Hehe. ;)

I love walnuts in my steelcut oats in the morning and almonds or walnuts in yogurt with some vanilla and cinnamon. I also like to add them to my salads, but just about anything that has nuts in it will make me smile. :D

Black Walnuts have omega 3 oils, but the English Walnut does not.
