Stem Cell Research

If stem cell research is approved in the United States to cure diabetes, would you or any of your family members with diabetes have the procedure done?
If the government would not approve this, would you go to a foreign country to have it done?
I would in both occasions.

I will not have it done on my son right away, because I will not let him be the guinea pig on any new procedure, but if it is still a sure thing after a couple of years then I would leave the country to have it done if necessary.

As a type 2 it wouldn't help me. However it would depend on the cost for my mother a type 1.
