Does anyone else have both? I use my iPhone for work and its pretty much as attached to me as the pump will be.
There is a LOT of interference from the iPhone. It makes other phones buzz, speakers, monitors, etc. I can't set it next to my alarm clock or it will buzz every 5 minutes or when the iPhone does its thing with the data whatchamajigger... Will this be an issue for the RF signal with the Ping and the meter-remote? Anyone have issues with this?
I haven't found anything on line about this yet...

I am totally clueless to what interferes with what, but I do recall a section in the manual where it talks about it, and how far to keep certain electronics with these issues away.
Yesterday I was working in the yard and my pump alarmed me...I was on empty. I was surprised when I walked through the door to see my meter/remotes LED flashing! I thought I was too far away for it to get a signal from it! Much further than 10 feet. The only time it could have been within 10 feet was through a window I passed on the way into the house. Guess it can get a signal through windows. :D
I am laughing!! All I could think of is the commericial and the iPhone guy saying, "Yep, there's an app for that".

It turns out my Animas educator's son works for Apple! The answer is no, it does not interfere with the pump. :)

The sound you hear when you put your iphone near anything with a speaker is the GSM "control channel," which operates at a frequency low enough to interfere with audio devices and some other wireless signals, but shouldn't interfere with the RF of your pump.

I use both the PING and iPhone and have no problem with either of them in colse proximity to each other.

I Am Involved In Developing and Using Applications For The IPhone. I Have Never Encountered Any Problems With The Ping And The Iphone.

I was curious about this too. According to the FCC the Ping uses 903.0 - 921.3 MHz
The iphone 3g uses:
824.2 - 848.8
826.4 - 846.6
1850.2 - 1909.8
1852.4 - 1907.6
2402.0 - 2480.0
2412.0 - 2462.0
None of these are anywhere near close enough to interfere with the ping
